Leyla grew up in Atlantic City NJ and lives in Northern VA with her husband and two children. Leyla has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design and received her professional hair license from Paul Mitchell in Tysons Corner in 2017.
Leyla's specializes in tight curls and is Deva Curl certified level 3 and certified in Rezo 1 and 2. Leyla is a and has completed two certifications in Curly Hair Artistry (CHA). Leyla has taught a cutting class in DC with fellow colleague Aaron Scott Lacy with AsimpleLesson in April 2024. She shares her insights and techniques with fellow curl enthusiasts from around the world, focusing on the importance of embracing natural textures and the positive impact it can have on self-confidence and overall well-being. This opportunity further solidified Leyla's position as a trusted authority in the industry.
